Karachi: February 1, 2011. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC retreated that demand of Christian Province on division of Punjab is constitutional right of millions of Christians in Punjab who are second biggest population of Punjab and deprived of equal basic democratic rights in Muslim dominated Punjab. The Punjab was divided and fell in lot of Pakistan when Christian leaders of All India Christian Association voted in favor of Pakistan before Boundary Commission during Pakistan but after independence of Pakistan Christians were victimized in Punjab. “The Christians have been victimized and killed by Muslims in Punjab, in land which they gained for Pakistan” said Nazir Bhatti The demand of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC for Separate Christian Province on division of Punjab is just and only solution to the problems of Pakistani Christians told Nazir S Bhatti to a delegation on Christian youth in New York on December 29, 2010. Nazir Bhatti said “Pakistani Christians appreciate statement of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain to divide Pakistan in more provinces but he urged him to support Separate Christian Province on division of Punjab” “We are being victimized and persecuted under Islamic laws like blasphemy law in Pakistan and non of mainstream political party have supported our demand to repeal blasphemy law which have left no option for us to struggle for our Separate Christian Province in Pakistan” said Nazir Bhatti It is on record that PPP, PML(N), PML(Q), MQM, ANP, PTI and other political parties of Muslims have denied to repeal or revise blasphemy law which is being used against religious minorities and particularly against Christians in Pakistan. Nazir Bhatti said that we formed Pakistan and especially Pakistan with Punjab unless Punjab was going to be part on India but now we are receiving 2nd class citizen treatment in Pakistan.
