Karachi: January 29, 2011. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have appealed to every Christian in Pakistan to offer prayers on January 30, 2011, for release of Asia Bibi and repeal of blasphemy law.
“We fully support call by Catholic Bishop of Islamabad to observe Prayer Day for release of Asia Bibi and to repeal of blasphemy law and I urge other Christian denominations and Civil Society activists to express solidarity with praying gatherings” said Nazir Bhatti
Asia Bibi was sentenced to death on accusations of defiling name of Prophet Mohammad by ADJC Nankana and now waiting for her appeal in Lahore High Court in security cell of Sheikhupura jail. The Lahore High Court have not fixed date of hearing of appeal till filing our story.
