Holland: January 04, 2011. (PCP) Parvez Iqbal, President Pakistan Christian Congress Holland Chapter, Agnes Massey, President of Pakistan Christian Congress Canada Chapter and Mr. Watson Gill, Coordinator of Pakistan Christian Congress for EU have strongly condemned killing of Salman Taseer in capital city of Pakistan. Mr. Salman Taseer assassinated only for he visited Asia Bibi and after laying his hand of mercy on Asia Bibi, assured her appeal will be brought to the President. Mr. Taseer was gunned down leaving blood stains on the face of Pakistani Government as a stamp of failure of security agencies. “Minorities in Pakistan are not safe and Christians there are at coffin threats. PCC is shouting all over for justice to those who are in custody with no crimes, those who escaped leaving behind everything only to safe their lives as well as those are disappeared and no one know they where they are kept after their arrest by the Police and law enforcing agencies in Pakistan” said Parvez Iqbal Agnes Massey, President of Pakistan Christian Congress Canada Chapter said “I strongly condemned this act of savageness. He was a man of God with kind heart who met Asia Bibi in jail and submitted Petition of mercy for her release to the President of Pakistan who promised to free her from the punishment of death by using his inherent Constitutional power. He did a wonderful work before his assassination. May his soul rest in peace. Mr. Watson Gill, Coordinator of Pakistan Christian Congress for EU said “We strongly condemn killing of Governor Salman Taseer” “Blasphemy law took one more precious life in Pakistan. Governor of Punjab province Mr.Salman Taseer ,a senior member of ruling party, friend of President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari gunned down by one of his own security guard in Islamabad because Mr. Salman Taseer raised his voice for Assia Bibi and his bold stance against the blasphemy law that apparently led to his killing”
