Faisalabad: December 14, 2010. (By Shahid Anwar) Kiran Niaz, a 14 years old maid Christian girl was forcibly raped several times by a Muslim youth that made her pregnant. This alleged heinous offence happened in Chak Jhumra, a village about 35 kilometers from Faisalabad, Punjab Province, in the month of April 2010. On 2nd October 2010, a rape case under section 376 of Pakistan Panel Code was registered against the rapist, Muhammad Javed alias Jamshed, with local authorities on the formal complaint of her father Niaz Masih. On 25th October 2010, the rapist was arrested by the local police. After interrogating the accused for four days, police has now shifted him to Jail from police-station on 30th October. On 25th November 2010, after spending one month in judicial lockup, the accused submitted a post-arrest bail application in order to get bail relief. But on 10th December 2010, Wajahad Hussain, the Additional and Session Judge declined the bail application after hearing the arguments of both the lawyers. The rapist is still behind the bars in District Jail Faisalabad.
