Hyderabad: December 12, 2010. (PCP/Agencies) There were calls from Wahabi Sunni Muslims in Pakistan from years that Agha Khani Muslim community may be declared minority or non-Muslim community like Ahmadi, Christian, Hindu or Sikh communities but due to their strong hold in business and economic of Pakistan, the government never paid any attentions on such move of Sunni extremists. There were distribution of literature and lectures against Ismailia Muslim community and Pakistan Christian Post was receiving many articles from Sunni Muslims which were never posted but it was understood that Agha Khan community will be next target of Wahabi Muslims in Pakistan after Ahmadi, Christian, Hindu and Sikh communities. Under 4th Amendment of constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ahmadi Muslims were bared from writing “Islamic Kalma” on their mosques or writing word “Bismillaha” on their business letter heads or ceremonial invitation cards. There were thousands of cases registered under section 298 A PPC against Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan and they were forced to remove Quran Verses from their mosques. Now, arrest of Dr. Naushad Valiyani, on desecrating Vesting Card of a Muslim under blasphemy charges is such a delicate issue that if any one defiles name of any Muslim which starts from Mohammad shall be booked under this law. The 99.9% names of Muslims start with word Mohammad and how horrible it will be for millions of Christians to enter in any dialogue with Muslim individuals. There are millions of businesses of Muslims which carry name “Mohammad …. “ how non Muslims will deal with them. Will those Muslims establishments accuse you of blasphemy if you have any business dispute with it? According to AP, Pakistani authorities have arrested a doctor on suspicion of violating the country's contentious blasphemy law by throwing away a business card of a man who shared the name of Islam's prophet, Muhammad, police said Sunday. Naushad Valiyani, a Muslim doctor in the southern city of Hyderabad, was arrested Friday after a complaint was lodged with police alleging his actions had insulted the Prophet Muhammad, said regional police chief Mushtaq Shah. The case began Friday when Muhammad Faizan, a pharmaceutical company representative, visited Valiyani's clinic and handed out his business card. He said when the doctor threw the card away, Faizan went to police and filed a complaint that noted his name was the same as the prophet's. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned arrest of Dr. Valiyani under blasphemy charges and urged government to listen Dr. Naushad before filing charges against him. “It is strange and horrible that first blasphemy charges in Pakistan were on defiling name of Prophet Mohammad but now defiling Visiting Card of any Muslim with name starting with Mohammad” said Nazir Bhatti Nazir Bhatti said that he will raise Asia Bibi case and blasphemy law in his lecture in a conference organized by Voice of Copts in lieu with International Humans Rights Day on December 16, 2010, at Capital Hill in Washington DC.
