Government promoting basic health services in Sindh. Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto

LARKANA: December 1, 2010. (Nazir Siyal) Sindh Minister for Women Development Sindh Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto has said on Wednesday that present government was trying its best to promote basic health services, to improve health status of under privileged remote areas with special focus on women and children health to protect new generation under the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. This she said, while addressing at a function arranged by Takhlique Foundation here at local hotel. She said that for the welfare of women we will cooperate with NGOs at grass root level; the flood which came in our province was a natural calamity and lot of damages were occurred, she said. The Minister also said that the Takhlique Foundation has worked for the welfare of poor people in Qamber-Shahdadkot District and appreciated the performance of the foundation and added that the foundation provided health and education facilities to under privileged communities and the problems of the foundation will also be pointed out at a high level and advised the foundation workers that they will visit the remote areas of Qamber-Shahdadkot districts to provide health and education facilities to poor masses at their door steps. On the occasion DCO Qamber-Shahdadkot Muhammad Yaseen Shar also spoke and assured of his full cooperation in this regard, so that the health of Mother and Chilled may be ensured at any cost besides the health and education facilities will also be provided in remote areas of the district, EDO Health Services Qamber-Shahdadkot Dr. Noor Ahmed Khoso also spoke and highlighted the performance of health services in Qamber-Shahdadkot district. Assistant Director Takhlique Foundation Muhammad Yaqoub also addressed on the occasion and informed that the association is working in five union councils of Qamber-Shahdadkot districts where 50460 ladies and children were checked and provide medicine under the project / association four male Doctors and four Female Doctors are performing their duties and the Telephone sets will be provided to the Doctors that in the time of delivery cases they will coordinate to the center incharge of the project. Dr. Syed Shahzad Ali PMCIP, Mujadid Arshad and representative of WHO and others also spoke regarding the program which was started by Takhlique Foundation in the district
