LARKANA: November 13, 2010. (Nazir Siyal) Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said on Saturday that the government has fixed sugar rates and DCOs empowered to check on district level cell established under the supervision re-checking of illegalities and take necessary actions under the relevant laws. Speaking to the media men here at Moen-Jo-Daro Airport, Chief Minister Sindh said that government has fixed Rs. 65 per kg sugar at wholesale and Rs.71 per kg at Retail stores. He said stern action would be taken against the hoarders and black marketers if they were found in hoarding, the DCOs were given magisterial powers in this regard to check the prices and fine under price control act. The Chief Minister said at present 0.03 million tons of sugar is available in country and sindh province required 70 thousand tons sugar and said that some black marketers are trying to hoarding sugar and rice, but they will fined on the situation, they will not succeed in a black marketing/hoarding, a sever action will be taken against the black mailers and hoarders in the province under price control act he said. The Chief Minister also said 4 million tons wheat is available at present and the government has fixed wheat price Rs. 950 per 40 kg and sufficient Atta of wheat is available in the market and the question of the shortage of wheat floar does not arises he told. Syed Qaim Ali Shah also said that under NFC Award, provinces will be able to recover the Service Tax and the positive dialogue for the recovery of reaming taxes are continue with the Federal government and positive end results will be produced in future. Chief Minster also visited Garhi Khuda Bux infront of masolium, where the gathering (Jalsa-Gah) stage and security discussed, while it is also said that for the further security pupose around the stage a concrete cemented wall 11 ft. wide may be constructed on urgently, as well as shades may also be provided for the people on 3rd Death Anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Later, the Chief Minister presided over a meeting of Mazar committee at Circuit House Larkana, where the security and other arrangements were reviewed during 3rd Death Anniversary of Shaheed Mohtaram Benzir Bhutto, which is being held on December 27, 2010 at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto. Chief Minister directed the officers of diffrent departments to complete their assignments, which were already given to them in this regard. Chief Minister also directed the concerned officers of different department to complete patch up work of different roads towards Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, sign-boards may be displayed on different roads to identify the routes towards Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto. the drinking water facilities may also be provided around the Jalsa-Gah/gathering, further directed to install hand pumps on the occasion, besides the lighting, stand by generator as well as cleanliness may also be arranged on the occasion. Before this, Chief Minister along with provincial Ministers included Dr. Zulifqar Mirza, Agha Siraj Durani, Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Manzoor Wasan, Jam Mahtab khan Dahar and PPP leaders visited Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, where they all offered fateha on Mazars of Shaheed Mohtarma Benzir Bhutto, Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto, Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto and late Ameer Begum and laid floral wreaths on the Mazars too.
