Holland: September 17, 2010. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC Coordinator for EU and leader of Dutch Pakistani Christian Community Mr. Watson Gill said that millions of dollars collected in shape of Zakat, Usher, Sadqa and Kheyrat from Muslims in Islamic countries and in Pakistan during Holy month of Ramadan for flood victims are denied to Christians, Hindus and Ahmadi flood effectees in Pakistan. It is un-Islamic to spend donations contributed by Muslims in month of Holy Ramadan is being claimed by Islamic laws clarified Mr. Gill, leader of PCC in a statement here today. Mr. Watson said “ The catastrophe has affected more then 20 million people and left millions of homeless while hundreds are still missing and millions are at risk from diseases and food shortages when about 19% nation was under the water in the month of August 2010. He further added “According to my information, about 250,000 Christians in Punjab and 700,000 Christians and Hindus in Sindh are affected by this most worse flooding in Pakistani history” The good news was , in the last month there has been a pick-up in donations. These have come mostly from Governments. Only UN raised $491.7 million with $325 million pledged for relief effort in Pakistan. U.S.A had pledged $150 million in assistance to flood affected population in Pakistan including the financial assistance and the immediate provision of urgently needed supplies and services with 19 helicopters to take food, tents, medicine, clothing’s and material to the victims. Besides UK $48.9 million, European Commission $18.6 million, Japan $10 million Australia $26.6 million, Saudi Arabia $100 million India $5 million and many country's and NGO's are collecting hundreds of million for Pakistan. IMF and Asian Development Bank promised billions of dollars for planned loans to Pakistan for reconstruction. Muslim stats and nations collect aid for flood including zakat, isher, sadqa, kheyrat in last month of Ramdan. zakat, isher and sadqa colud not for non Muslims. It will donate only for poor Muslims according to Islam. The question have emerged, why the minorities are being ignored or discriminated in relief on the basis of religion?, Which is utterly shameful for country which boasts of a democratic set-up. The Christians, Hindus and Ahmadi's are complaining of discrimination against them at a time when the raging flood waters have snatched all their belongings rendering them homeless and hopeless. Mr. Gill urged International leaders and organizations must condemn this act by the government officials and Islamic organizations According to the American Organization Open Doors report said” Some Christian refugees are openly denied aid, while others are told to leave or convert to Islam. The news agency of Vatican missionary body reported " Aid was handled either by Muslim relief Organizations or by government officials close to fundamentalists. Both discriminated against Christians and other minorities in distributing aid essential to survival," Nazir Bhatti, Chairman of PCC said "Muslim relief Organizations and the government agencies have denying assistance to Christians affected by the flooding in Pakistan. International Christian Concern (ICC) (US) based reports that the Muslim aid agencies have continually marginalized the Christian minorities in the distribution, who are incidentally among the millions of Pakistanis left homeless. 80 people from Christian Community convert by this blackmailing in Mureedke (Panjab) three Christian family's convert in Chak 42 GB in Punjab and many Hindus family's are force to leave their faith by the name of flood relief in Tandoalam and other parts of Sindh.
