Lahore: August 22, 2010. (PCP) The Bishop House of Trinity Evangelical Prayer Assemblies Church in Youhanna Abad, Lahore was set on fire on August 21, 2010, when Bishop Dr. Naeem Samuel who is also Rector of Trinity Biblical University was not at home nor his any family member. The fire suddenly broke out and neighbors saw smoke coming out and called Police Rescue and Fire Brigade which took control on blaze but still all household was burnt except adjacent office and Library. Honorable Bishop Dr. Naeem Samuel is running cable TV network in Lahore which broadcasts religious films, prayers and Bible Courses on which he have been receiving threats. The calls to stop broadcasting of Cable TV “Bible Broadcasting Network BBN” were being received by Bishop Dr. Naeem Samuel from Muslims. It is doubted that Islamic elements who were threatening Bishop Samuel pressuring him to stop BBN have thrown any chemical to set Bishop House on fire because electric short circuit or any other cause was not found of fire. The fire burnt down all furniture of home and other livelihood house items. Bishop Samuel is also administering Christian University Campus in Yohanna Abad where Bachelor of Divinity degrees and Pastoral Training is facilitated and dozens of servants of Lord are ordained. Yohanna Abad is residential colony of more than 10,000 Christian families and most populist in metropolitan city of Lahore. The Christian residents of Yohanna Abad have feared that Muslim extremists can attack on them any day and they have started it by setting on fire Bishop House of Trinity Evangelical Prayer Assemblies Church which have hundreds of congregates in vicinity.
