New York: August 6, 2010. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC and Pakistani Christians Association in North America PCA have announced here today to stage protest procession in front of United Nations Offices on August 12, 2010, to mark “Black Day” on rising violence against Christians in Pakistan.
The government of Pakistan have declared August 11, as “Minority Day” in Pakistan but Christians in Pakistan and Pakistani Christian Diaspora have rejected it as Minority Day and decided to observe it as “Black Day”
There will be protest processions in London, Hague, New York and in Canada on August 11 and Christian Diaspora will take out rallies and protest marches while Christian Youth in Pakistan will organize meetings in every city of Pakistan to mark it “Black Day”
In year 2009, August 11, was first Minority Day when government of Pakistan and Federal Minority Minister who is a Catholic Christian failed to hold any celebration in any city of Pakistan when angry youth and different organizations took out street protests against government as “Black Day”
Pakistan Christian Association in North America PCA Chairman William Shahzad, President Nazir S Bhatti, Secretary General Babar Khokhar, Directors James Gill, Fredrick Gill, Edgar Wilson and other leaders in a meeting here today finalized the “Black Day’ protest program.
PCC and PCA leaders appealed to Pakistani Christians in Tri-State area to join Black Day protest in front on UN offices in NY. The protest will start at 11;00 AM and end at 3:00 PM, on August 12, 2010.
Pakistan Christian Congress PCC and Pakistani Christians Association in North America condemned killing of Two Christian Brothers on accusation of blasphemy and demanded justice for Gojra Christians.
Christian Social Link UK will also stage protest in front of Pakistani High Commission in London on August 11, 2010, to mark “Black Day”
Mr. Raymond Durrani will lead protest in front of a Mosque in Ajax city in Canada to observe Black Day in Canada.
