Candles lit in memory of Islamabad martyrs

Sialkot: August 2, 2010: (PCP)The women wing of the National Council for Inter-faith Dialogue under the leadership of Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap lit candles and offered prayers in memory of the victims of the plane crash at Margalla Hills, Islamabad. Sr. Veronica FC said that the plane crash victims need our sincere prayers for they might not have been ready for such a tragedy. Our prayers, she said our prayers are for all who are left behind the at they may find peace of heart and mind. Aqeela Sarish said that all Pakistanis are sad due to this event and the heavy rains and floods affected as well. They need our financial, moral and fraternal support. Mehwish Sarwar said after the prayer service that such event remind us of our last day that each one of us has to go to God one day. Hence each and every moment is to be spent to thank for all His blessings upon us. Prayers were also offered for those who were killed in monsoon rains and floods throughout the country. A large number of Christian & Muslim women participated. According to unofficial report there were about ten Christian and one Hindu passenger on-board the ill-fated plane but so far only five deaths of Chrisitnasa have been confirmed by The Christian View sources. They are Sapna Munawar,Shazia,Javeria, Naheed Bhatti have been confirmed officially.
