LARKANA: July 29, 2010. (By Nazir Siyal) Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) held protest demonstrations observed hunger strikes against the transfer of 412 lecturers and professors all over Sindh by the Education Department. The Protesting Professors and Lecturers of Larkana carrying play cards, banners inscribed with slogans against the Education Minister and demanding for the cancellation of the transfer orders. On the occasion, SPLA leaders of Larkana told that 35 Assistant Professors and lecturers of Larkana district have been transferred to other places without any reason and objectives. They condemned the decision made by the Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq on anti-education policies, they opposed that if the transfers decision was not withdrawn they would boycott and continue their protest in Sindh. On the occasion, Sayed Imtiaz Ali Shah, Bashir Ahmed Soomro, Mohammed Moosa Arijo, Ramesh Kumar, Shafqat Ali Larik and several others participated in the protest. Meanwhile, All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Larkana chapter also held protest demonstration and observed token hunger strike against EDO Education and Chairman BISE Larkana here out side the Press Club on Thursday. APCA different local leaders, while talking to the media men they said that EDO Education Rasool Bux Shah and Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Larkana (BISE) Sayed Ali Shah Bukhari were exercising their illegal powers and humiliating the staff. They demanded of Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh and other higher authorities to immediately remove EDO Education and Chairman BISE and conduct an impartial enquiry against to save the educational environment. On the occasion, the President APCA Sabir Ali Soomro, Nasrullah, Farooq Ahmed, Jagirani, Miskeen Bhutto and others were present on the occasion.
