LARKANA: July 22, 2010. (By Nazir Siyal) Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that the judiciary was silence over the fake degree holders during dictator government, which was ultimately a draw-back for elected government and those involve elements should be apprehended on this issue. Addressing the gathering by the Larkana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Khuhro said the members of LCCI can play their vital role for establishing industries and to promote export of local commodities like paddy, guava and others. The import of commodities will be an advantage to the foreign countries in larger interests of nation and country. The speaker said that the present democratic government was came in power after the great sacrifice of our leader Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, she gave great sacrifice of her life for the rights of people and restoration of democracy in the country. The speaker appreciated the efforts of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari that following the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the President was succeeded in restoration 1973 constitution in its real position through passing 18th amendment by the parliament and he also give his powers to the parliament, so that the democratic system may be strengthen in the country. He further said that present PPP Government was striving hard for providing job opportunities to thousands of people on merit basis and the efforts are under way to control on poverty. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro also said that all out efforts are being made by the President of Pakistan to control on energy crisis in this regard, the Thaar Coal authority was restored and power plants will be established to overcome the energy crisis. The Speaker announced an amount of rupees 0.5 million as grant in Aid for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Larkana. He also said that some political elements were trying to destabilize the present democratic Government but they will not be succeeded at all. He said that since 1970 the People’s Party which is largest political party in the country remain only 12 years in power and major period were snatched by the dictators, they do nothing for the welfare of the people and he reiterated that the present Government will complete its 5 year tenure. The speaker also said that record development was carried out in Larkana, he added that the Law and order situation in the Province was gradually improved. The Speaker urged upon the TMA authorities to ensure the cleanliness of the city and the encroachments on the both sides of the roads may be removed accordingly besides the lighting system of the city may be improved. The Speaker also said the present Government has increased 50% Ad-Hoc allowance to all civil employees which is the big achievement to provide relief to Government servant in the history of the country. On the occasion the President chamber of commerce & industry Larkana Khair Muhammad Shaikh welcome the speaker and pointed out the problems/ demands included plot for chamber building, to ensure the law & order situation as well as removal of enchroments in the city, shifting of bus stops from city to new general bus stand Larkana and records of rights may be computerized besides he also demanded that illegal electricity connection may be removed and the sons of business community may be provided job opportunities and he condemned the incident at Thull town in which the Samina Bhatti was raped, the accused persons may be arrest without any delay and the dinner was hosted in honour of speaker and the participants. Later the speaker also visited the Chandka Medical College hospital Larkana where he inquired health from Samina Bhatti resident of Thull and asked MS CMCH Larkana to provide free treatment to innocent girl and assured to the relatives of the girl that the accused persons will be arrested in short possible time.
