Fear among Christian of Faisalabad after arrest of Two Christian under blasphemy

Pakistan: July 13, 2010. (PCP) Mr. Khalid Gill Advocate, a prominent Human Right Activist and free legal assistance provider to needy deserving Christians in Punjab province of Pakistan present horrified situation of more than one million Christians living in City of Faisalabad after July 1, arrest of two Christians under blasphemy law. In a communiqué to Pakistan Christian Post, Christian leader writes about an incident of night of July 12, 2010, in these words “ Today early in the morning between 3-4:00 AM on July 13, 2010, I received a call of crying women of Faisalabad that her husband Stephen who is 30 years of age was snatched by police from their house who jumped over the walls said Rahat. Her mother, Mrs. Major William late of The Salvation Army, a patient of Diabetic and Heart, cried and called for help but no one were there” Faisalabad Police picked up husband of Rahat Bibi who is a driver of tobacco company and his wife is a factory worker when there are rumors of police raids on homes of Christian youth in different colonies of Christians to satisfy Muslims who took out procession against alleged blasphemy victims in city. On July 10, 2010, A Muslim organization Tehreek-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwat took out protest rally burning tires on roads and chanting slogans against Christians. The Warispura, Barkatpura, Jhandapir,Bilal Town, Ibne-e-Marriam Daud Colony and Daud Nagar are adjacent with each other having huge population of Christian area of District Faisalabad while Muslim protesters intended to attack on life and property of Christians. According to informations by PCP, a blasphemy case was registered on 1st July, 2010, under section 295- C PPC, against Rashid Emanuel aged 32 years and Sajid Emanuel of 30 years of age who are residents of Street No.5 Daud Nagar, Faisalabad, Pakistan and arrested by police. The victims are in lockup of Civil Lines Police Station Faisalabad. The case was registered on complain by Muhammad Khuram Shezad marchant of Rail Bazar, Faisalabad. Who claimed his servant told him that both Christian accused are distributing pamphlets in open bazar upon desecrating Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and their numbers are under the writing of the Pamphlet. He went to PS and told fabricated story to police to charge 2 Christian young men under blasphemy.
