Peshawar, Pakistan: July 9, 2010: An anonymous chilling Cell Phone Call was received by “All Pakistan Minorities Alliance” (APMA) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) (former NWFP) provincial youth leader on May 25th, PCP was told about the threatening cell phone call in a press conference held by Yousaf George and his family that how that caller allegedly gave him goose bumps by scaring the hell out of him by threatening him to kill him and his family and face dire consequences in case he continued in his struggle against corruption, for Christians’ and other minorities’ rights with, no other apparent reason. Yousaf George, resident of Academy town Peshawar city the capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), is the head of ‘All Pakistan Minorities Alliance’, (APMA), KP provincial youth leader and general secretary of Pakistan’s ruling political party, ‘Pakistan Peoples’ Party’ (PPP) in Federally Administrated Tribal Area (FATA) . Talking to PCP in the press conference Christian rights defender Yousaf George said that on May 19th thousands of Christians flocked up led by him to protest against the corruption of provincial minister for minorities affairs and embezzlement of funds earmarked for Christians and other religious minorities’ uplift in the KP province, the hot bed of Islamic extremism, in Pakistan. Replying to a question posed by PCP about the conversation with the anonymous caller, Yousaf George said that unknown caller calling from an unknown place, started with a question that why I did not do any thing about the fake degrees and educational certificates being issued in various universities and educational institutes of the country, George added, that he replied to him that neither he was an educational officer nor director or controller of examination at any educational board or any of the universities of Pakistan. Yousaf George said that unknown Cell Phone Caller also said that my own Bachelors degree was fake to which I told him, that I have not done Bachelors in Arts (B.A) instead I have earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration (BBA). Concerned George who was hurled with death threats said that his reply infuriated the anonymous Caller and he started calling me, my mother, my sisters, my brothers and relatives obscenely, Yousaf George also said that unidentified caller alleged that if I kept hankering for nullification for Blasphemy Laws and other controversial discriminatory laws he would abduct my female siblings and treated them as sex slaves and then slain, George added, he said these word swearing by Islamic holy Kalama. Unknown Caller asked me to see him at Saddr’s Shafi Market Peshawar immediately. PCP was told during the George family press conference that Yousaf George instead of going to the Saddr Shafi Market started his stroll towards the Sufaid Bairi Police Checkpoint of the Police Station Pushtahurra, Peshawar to file his application against the anonymous Caller and threats of dire consequences and death to him and family hurled by him. ‘At Sufaid Bairi Police Checkpoint I opened the speaker of my Cell Phone and registrar of the Police Check post sat silently besides me and heard whole conversation between me and that unidentified biased Muslim Caller, Yousaf George went on saying, ‘Callers was repeatedly threatening to kill me and my family members or abduct them’. Despite the fact that Police Officer heard the whole conversation between me and unknown Muslim caller who had sworn by the Islamic Kalama, Police was still idle and no solid steps to arrest the Caller were taken by Pushtahurra Police Station, Peshawar. Although they were provided the anonymous Caller’s cell phone number 00923035448542, said George. Yousaf George said he was offered by the unknown Muslim Caller a government contract which would make him a rich man over night, George alleged, but the condition imposed by that Caller was to give up my struggle against the controversial Blasphemy Laws and other discriminatory laws. Private news TV Channel “Duniya” was also informed and invited by Yousaf George, PCP learnt, and “Duniya” TV pledged to visit him tomorrow on May 26th but they actually never came to cove the ordeal of terrified Yousaf George. Yousaf George said that if he would have been a Muslim politician the same TV channel would have come running after him to cover his news. Yousaf George also alleged that his mother Inayat Begum, elder brother Younas Tabasum and his wife and children namely daughter Laika Younas, daughter Phool Younas, son Waqar Younas and the youngest daughter Mehak Younas were in grave danger of being murdered or implicated in Blasphemy Cases. To question by PCP that who might be behind this Call, Yousaf George said that almost One-and-a-half year back a Christian family was kidnapped on gunpoint and they were shifted and kept hostages at Barra Agency along the Afghan border. George said that due to his hectic efforts the Christian hostages were safely released by the alleged Muslim abductors and captors within 12 (twelve) hours. Yousaf George said that some one from those alleged Muslim militants might be behind this Threatening Call. “Who want me to stop struggle for the repeal of all controversial discriminatory laws including blasphemy laws of the country. Yousaf George avowed that till his last breath or the last drop of blood in his body he would continue his movement against the repeal of all discriminatory laws looming like naked sword of death over the heads of religious minorities in Pakistan.
