LARKANA: July 6, 2010. (Nazir Siyal) The Administrator/District Coordination Larkana Sayed Mohammed Hassan Naqvi presented the budget Rs. 3,867.169 million of fiscal year 2010-2011 and called it a balanced budget here at camp office on Tuesday.
DCO Larkana, while in press briefing acknowledged that the collapse of Rs. 200 million mega drainage scheme at Bakrani is the major problem and due to the failure of drainage at Bakrani, the road construction is delayed he told.
He said the Girls Cadet College at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto with the cost of Rs. 70 million has been approved and further Chief Minister Sindh Sayed Qaim Ali Shah has granted Rs. 1.2 billion special scheme for Garhi Khuda Bux to make a model Village in Sindh.
He said the 100 million have been sanctioned for the new road schemes in Larkana, which will be further approved/identified by the elected representatives during the meeting of SPDC. He said Rs. 0.5 million for Larkana Press Club, Rs. 0.4 million for Arts Council Pakistan have been allocated in the budget.
DCO Larkana Sayed Hassan Naqvi further told that 212 ongoing schemes including 161 road construction and others schemes will be completed in the year 2010-2011. he said the for the beautification of Larkana, a green belt at the right and left banks of Rice Cannal, Chandka Medical College Road, Shaikd Zaid Road, VIP road and others will be set up.
He further told that Rs. 20 billion roads development work by the National Highway Authority is ongoing in Larkana. He said that anti-encroachment drive in Larkana has been started to remove illegal occupation and private bus terminals of Coaches, Van Stops, buses and taxis etc
