Protests against Terrorist attack at Data Darbar

LARKANA: July 3, 2010. (By Nazir Siyal) Sunni Tehreek Larkana chapter held protest demonstration against the brutal attack on Data Darbar and observed partial shutter donwn strike in Larkana on Saturday. On the call of Suni Tehreek in Larkana, Bunder Road, Royal Road and, Pakistan Chowk and other parts of City was remaining closed, while rest of the city was open and the traffice was continued on roads. The Sunni Tehreek (ST) workers took out protest demonstration led by Provincial leader Maulana Ali Nawaz Qasmi and chanted slogans against the attack on Data Darbar and killing of several innocent people. He said that the culprits should immediately arrest those attack on secret place. On the occasion, different social, political and religious parties took out protest demonstration and condemned the killing of innocent by the bomb blast in Lahore carnage. Meanwhile, National Organization of Postal Employees (NOPE-CBA) Larkana chapter strongly condemned the attack on Data Darbar and killings of innocent people in Lahore. While, in a employees meeting presided over by the NOPE Larkana General Secretary Zulfikar Magsi and several others expressed grief over the incident. On the occasion, he said that the Larkana Nope will work for the employees rights and told media that there is about 360 employees strength in GPO Larkana, whiel 32 sub post offices, but the staff shortage is high and they have no any overtime and other facilities. He said they will participate in the councillorship in their Unit as 6 seats are reserved to contest in their district, added that they should provided education and residential facilities along with corporation allowance, son quota and other facilities for employees. Nope leader told that they were facing security risk problems during the distribution of BISP funds and their employee in Umerkot and Tando Ghualm Mohammed was killed by the armed dacoits. He also demanded that the authorities should protect the postal employees and provide security during the distribution of BISP funds. The Organization leaders including Zulfikar Magsi General Secretary, Ghulam Ali, Abdul Shakoor Kalal, Imdad Ali Bhutto, Allah Dino Mugheri, Khaleel Jatoi, and others were present and demanded for the corporation allowance, son quota and other facilities for workers on the occasion.
