LARKANA: June 27, 2010. (By Nazir Siyal) Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that fixing of the artificial limbs to the suffering patients/disable persons was the real services for ailing humanity, after the rehabilitation those disable will be able to walk and work frequently to perform their proper role in civil society. Speaking on the occasion of visit of camp regarding the fixing the limbs to the patients at Chandka Medical Teaching Hospital here on Sunday, the camp was organized by the Pakistan Baitul Mal (PBM) and thanked for providing funds for fixing artificial limbs to the patients of six districts, in this way 150 patients rehabilited. He said the rehabilitated persons will be useful citizens in society and self confidence will be developed for their livelihood in their daily life. It is recalled that the rehabilitation team of DOW Medical University Karachi was performing to fix artificial limbs to the patients of upper Sindh area; the team will continue to work here for more eight days. The training will also be imparted to the rehabilitated persons and the new cases will be registered in this regard. On the occasion, Pro-Vic Chancellor DOW Medical University Professor Umer Farooq highlighted the performance of fixing limbs to the patients in the University is the section and thanked the speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro for his cooperation in rehabilitation work in Larkana on the occasion. The Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Larkana Prof. Sikander Ali Shaikh also spoke and informed that an amount of Rs. 5 billion was approved by the government for the establishment of University and the PC-I was also prepared and sent to the higher authorities. He hoped that a section regarding the fixing artificial limbs to the patients will be opened in this University. On the occasion, EDO Health Services Dr. Abdul Fatah Bughio, Additional Medical Superintendent (AMS) Dr. Ghulam Ali Hulio, the party leaders Sanaullah Hulio, Aftab Bhutto, Zakir Hussain Abro, and large number of Docters were present. Meanwhile, The Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh for Information Department Jameel Ahmed Soomro has said that there is a dire need of institutional development and media is a key back bone of society, while judiciary may play its positive role for the strengthen democratic system, as Benazir Bhutto played and sacrifice her life for the downtrodden people of country. This he said while addressing the 57th birth day anniversary ceremony of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, organized by the Larkana Press Club. He said we are the workers/Janisar of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and no words to pay homage on her life and services, as well as great sacrifice for the rights of people and restoration of democracy in country. He said the struggle of Benzir Bhutto. Jameel Soomro further said that the struggle of Benazir Bhutto was against the dictatorship rule since 30 years long and she never compromise on her principles, She only followed the footsteps of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to provide party manifesto on 5 E’s included the Education, Employment, Environment, Equality and Energy for country. Advisor to the Chief Minister said the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari also adopted the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and with its implementation of same political reconciliation in country and the result was that the 18th amendment constitution passed by the parliament and restored 1973 constitution, NFC Award was also passed. Besides, the President was trying to strengthen the democratic system in country and the economy of country have improved he said. He also said that the PPP is the largest political party in country and its routes are in people at grass root level, added that some political elements were trying to destabilize the democratic system of country but they will never succeeded at all he said. Mr. Soomro said the empowerment of the women program was being implemented, which was the vision of Benzir Bhutto; he questioned that why the leaders (Bhutto family) were targeted for assassination. He said the need is to develop country through all out efforts. On the occasion, while speaking, Advisor to the Chief Minister Sindh Sharmeela Farooqi also paid rich tributes to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and reiterated that the mission will be completed and struggle would continue at any cost, added the Bhutto family made an example in the political history of the world by giving their sacrifices of their lives for the rights of poor people of country. The Advisor appreciated the efforts of media persons of Larkana Press Club for organizing the 57th birthday anniversary celebrations of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and she highlighted the struggle and restoration of democracy in country. On the occasion, PPP local leader Khair Mohammed Shaikh, Prof. Jaam Jamali, Ashiq Nizamani and others paid rich tribute to the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. Earlier, the President Press Club S. Iqbal Babu paid homage to SBB and welcomed the guests and participants of the program. The senior journalists presented traditional Ajraks to the Jameel Soomro and Sharmeela Farooqi on the occasion. The ceremony was largely attended by the members of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Larkana, Advocates and other prominent citizens.
