LONDON: June 23, 2010. (PCP) British democracy is an irradiant example for today’s civilized world. In this country 9 minority members have been elected after getting direct votes from English men, the majority community. These member got success from such communities where there are very few minority population. This is the real beauty of English democracy, that main stream political parties issued party tickets to their minority members and all majority and minority members took equal part in cam panging for these minority candidates; that’s why these minority candidates honored with crown of success. Further more the ruling party has elected a minority Muslim woman as their chairperson. You couldn’t find such brilliant example of equality, and democracy, said J Salik, convener World Minority Alliance here in London. J Salik announced that approximately 3000 painters will participate in a world wide queen’s portrait painting competition. There will be an exhibition in London on queen’s birthday and the painter will get the “Queen of Democracy Award”. Comparing the political system of Pakistan with Britain, J Salik showed deplorableness over the Jumbled democracy of Pakistan, according to which there’s direct voting for majority, but 90 people get seats without vote, through selection. It was conspiracy of a dictator to keep depressed minorities of country, who snatched basic democratic rights of minority to get elect their representatives through direct vote. He added that “but its very discouraging and strange reality that democratic parties also kept the same undemocratic rule to select minority’s representative rather then direct vote, which is a blemish on democracy of a Muslim country like Pakistan”. If Sweden, an European developed democratic country does a disgraceful step to put ban on Muslim Masajid’s minarets through a referendum, than we demand our Pak government to go in a transparent referendum for the rights of vote for minorities, and I ‘m sure that 99 percent of my countrymen will go for sanctioning direct vote rights for minorities. J Salik said that through this practice we will send a positive message to the rest of world that we are also practicing according to the real sprit of democracy. We are ready to fight for the rights of minorities globally, for this noble cause; we have formed an international platform “World Minority Parliament”. We wish to defend minorities against injustice steps such as ban on veil [hijab], blasphemy cartooning and incidents as happened in Denmark or Norway to hurt feelings of minorities in those counties. We will stand to defend minorities’ rights worldwide.
