LARKANA: June 3, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Khaksar Tehreek Larkana Chatper took out rally to express solidarity with the Media persons, volunteers and held demonstration against the Israeli attack on aid flotilla for the Palestinian.
On Thursday, large number of Khaksar activists led their protest rally carrying placards and marched through various thorough fare of the city and culminated at Press Club.
On the occasion, Nazim-e-Alla Khaksar Terheek Azm-e-Hyder said that United State and other European countries are calm spectators over the Israeli attack and killings of innocent armless volunteers and Media persons, which is an open International terrorism and violation of human rights he said.
He said UNO, OIC and other International organizations; human rights must take action against the Israel and impose the sanctions on it over the inhuman attitude of Israel he said.
Khaksar Tehreek has congratulated the bold journalists of Pakistan including Talat Hussain and others on safe return to the country.
The protest rally was attended by Salar-e-Shehar Niaz Baloch, Ghazi Shamsud-u-din, Gulab Shaikh, Mohammed Yasseen Abbasi, Ghulam Hyder Umrani, Imam Bux Makol and others.
Meanwhile, Hundreds growers and Abadgars of Warrah, Mirokhan, Sijawal and Pakistan Peoples Party (Shaheed Bhutto) also recorded their protest demonstration and staged sit-in at Fazil Rahoo chowk against the non provision of irrigation water in Warrah, Dadu, Rice Canal.
On the occasion, large number of PPP-Shaheed Bhutto workers and Abadgars/growers were holding play cards, banners inscribed with slogans against the concerned irrigation officials of Warrah and others.
While, talking to the media persons, Adadgars/growers including Niaz Hyderi, Zulfikar Gaincho, Aslam Abbasi, Muharam Chandio, Tariq Khuhawar and others said that the growers and farmers of Warrah Tehsil were facing acute irri water shortage and drinking water, while seed samplings are dried up and no further use of paddy crop owing to the scarcity of irrigation water they said.
They allegedly said that the concerned SDOs misguiding the people about the facts and water availability they said.
The appealed President of Pakistan, Chief Minister Sindh, MNA Faryal Talpur, Irrigation Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to take an action against the involved irrigation officials and provide water to this area.
Meanwhile, the EDO Revenue Larkana Assadullah Abro presided over a meeting regarding the precautionary measures for ensuing expected Flood/Rains in district on Thursday.
He urged upon the officials of Irrigation Department to ensure the availability of Abkalani material at the protective walls of River Indus and F.P Wall, the appoint/duties of Beldars on temporary basis during the flood season as well as the forest material may be provided and the intensive patrolling on the protective walls/Bunds on River Indus may be ensured during flood.
It was also decided in Meeting that the HESCO Larkana may ensure to provide electricity at vulnerable points and the telephone department will provide telephone connections at the points. A vigilant eye and care should be kept on main canals and drains by the Irrigation department.
On the occasion, dozers, bulldozers, excavators and other machinery should be available and utilized in any emergency by the Agriculture Engineering Department to ensure the fascilitation.
He stress the need on the proper Coordination with DDO Revenue and TMO’s, and the control rooms will be established at DCO’s camp office and the office of DDO Revenue and separate wireless sets to be installed at district control room at DCO camp office Larkana.
He directed EDO education to provide the list of School buildings located near protective Bunds for selecting these as relief camps. It was also decided that during the time of Flood/Heavy Rain the medical camps will be established along with paramedical staffs with availability of Anti snake venom and other life saving drugs. The other matters were also discussed regarding the boats availability in the district, the generators and de-watering machines to be kept ready for any emergency.
The Meeting also decided that the Irrigation department may to ensure arrangement to inform the Population residing in Katcha area in any emergency well in time and the D.O civil defense was directed to provide list of trained Razakars to the district control room. The Meeting was attended by all concerned.
