Political parties and civil society activists condemn assault on Flotilla by Israel

LARKANA: June 2, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Several social, political, religious parties and Journalists Organizations including Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Pakistan, Jamat-e-Islami (JI), Sunni Tehreek, Islami Jamiat Talaba, Pakistan Jafferia Alliance and Khaksar Tehreek along with people all walks of life have strongly condemned the Israeli deadly assault on the Gaza freedom flotilla that was carrying relief goods for the Palestinians. On the occasion, JUI General Secretary Sindh Senator Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro and other political leaders have strongly condemned Israeli aggression by killing innocent. They said the Israel is an international terrorist country, which has been targeting and genocide Muslims for a long time, added that 1.5 million people of Gaza have been cordoned off since 2007, but world community is calm spectator on such terrorism. Senator Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro expressed deep concern over an attack on aid Flotilla of six ships bound for Gaza strip, he termed such act barbarous and cowered attack to deprive human from medicines and daily use commodities water and others he said. Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro said that OIC and Muslim countries should raise voice against Israel and halt diplomatic tic with Israel. He also appealed to US president Barrack Obama and UN Secretary General to stop Israel atrocity and impose sanctions on it violation of human rights. All walks of life have demanded of the UN, OIC, Arab League, European Union and other human rights organizations to issue policies against Israel’s illegal act and take a resolute stance against the recurring criminal acts by the Zionist nation against Muslims they said.
