Lahore: May 20, 2010. (By Fr. Inayat Bernard for PCP) “A good leader has to be fearless, good moral character, joyful decency, active brain and disciplined person”. Retired cornel Christopher Abid was talking to the diocesan students in the study hall of St. Mary’s Minor Seminary, Lahore. He said that a good leader should have these qualities. He should be the one who knows the way, who goes the way and who shows the way. He further said that Jesus was a good Shepherd who took care of his sheep and so much so that he gave his life for his sheep; the whole humanity’s salvation. He stressed that to be a leader it is essential to follow the footsteps of the good and honorable leader like Jesus Christ. He appreciated the 48 minor seminarians coming from the dioceses of Multan, Faisalabad, Quetta, Hyderabad and the Archdiocese of Lahore to be disciplined and qualified leaders. While thanking Col. Christopher Abid Fr.Zachria Ghauri, the rector of the seminary expressed his best wishes for him and expected that his talk would be beneficial for the future leaders of the church and the faithful will be able to benefit from their talents for their welfare and spiritual formation. The Serra Club member Younas John from St. Joseph Lahore Cantt. facilitated the visit of Col Christopher Abid on the 15th of May,2010.
