Islamabad: April 28, 2010. A Press Conference was held at National Press Club, Islamabad jointly by the Chairperson of Christian Progressive Movement Madam Naila J.Dayal and the National Coordinator of Church Properties Bachao Tehrik, Pakistan, Bishop Ijaz Inayat Masih, against the illegal sale of Church Properties.
The emphasis of the conference was to prevent the illegal sale of church properties all over the Pakistan. The Christian Progressive Movement has demanded Church of Pakistan authorities to investigate and immediately stop this anti-church practice, whereby communal properties worth billions of Rupees is being looted by the Church Property Mafia, the Christian Progressive Movement demanded punishment of the culprits in accordance with the prevailing law.
It was mainly stressed in the Press Conference that a large number of Church properties have been sold consideration of which has been pocketed by the so-called Church leadership, especially Alexander John Malik, Samuel Azariah, Humphrey Peters, Samuel Pervaz, Sadiq Daniel and others under different fraudulent pretexts. The Christian Progressive Movement and the Church Properties Bachao Tehrik warned that in case timely action is not taken against these black sheep of the Community, they will be constrained to approach legal forums in order to uncover those disguised and cheated the Church and the Community.
