(PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress Canadian Chapter President Agnes Massey, a prominent lawyer of Lahore High Court Bar issued a statement here today on major Christian issues in Pakistan. Agnes Massey said “The time has come for which we were waiting for since Pakistan was born in 1947, Quaie-e-Azam gave us freedom in his speech and in constitution for equal rights but later different Governments snatched our rights and gave us blasphemy laws and slavery in twenty one century and made us refugees in our own country” According to History, we Christians were native Indians before Pakistan was born. It was our fault because our nation was divided and not in unity. That was the result for which whole 20 million Christians living in Pakistan were suffering said PCC Canadian Chapter Chairperson. Agnes Massey added “The general election is coming. Every party will be looking for votes to get majority Government with our votes and every party will try to divide us and rule as they did in past, Our votes are a big piece of pie which every party will be looking at this big piece with pop out their eyes and hanging out their tongues to win majority Government” She said that now we have a golden chance to cast our votes with unity and ask our demands to the party who will give us guarantee to repeal blasphemy laws and give us equal rights in all fields of life including Government services, Federal and Provincial legislative Assemblies, Senate and double vote system because with our votes the party will be ruling party and we will be part of it. “Our LEADERS are employees of their parties and these are the puppets who sold our nation for their own benefit. Now we have enough time to organize ourselves, choose our own leaders without pulling legs of each other. We should select talented and well educated people who has pain for the nation and willing to sacrifice their lives if they have to for twenty million people. That is the leadership which we are looking for who will not trade our nation for their benefits” said Ms Massey She warned that other parties will try to break our unity to divide and rule but we should be careful. In past we did a big mistake, resulting Islamic Sharia Laws and slavery in twenty one century because we cast our votes only for cup of tea but this time, we have to be careful not for ourselves but for our future generations also.
