Karachi: April 16, 2010. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC Central Secretariat issued a statement here to clarify that demand of Separate Christian Province as Federal Unit on division of Punjab province is not against constitution of Pakistan because is not a demand for any separate independent state,
The division of Punjab in Separate Christian Province, Seraiki Province and Bahawalpur Province will be step towards stronger Pakistan and easy to administer most populist federal unit of country.
The Seraiki Province Movement and Hazara Province Movements are struggling from decades and non of their Muslim leader is ever charged under treason or any other anti-state charges then how Christians can be blamed for any anti Pakistan activities on demand of Province.
Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said in a statement that a meeting of PCC leaders and Christians from every walk of life shall be called in UK in 2010, where name for Separate Christian Province will be finalized and map with demography will be presented for approval.
“The hate on religion, increasing violence against Christians and discriminatory laws have left us no option to expedite our struggle for division of Punjab and formation of Separate Christian Province” said Nazir Bhatti
Nazir Bhatti warned Christian tools of government and brokers of Muslim political groups to stop propaganda against formation of Separate Christian Province because it is need of time to press for our demand when Muslims leaders are also demanding formation of more provinces in Pakistan.
“We are treated like slaves in Punjab by Muslim majority people who not fear to attack on our worship places, burnt down our homes, kill our pastors, desecrate our Holy Bible, gang rape our sisters and convert them to Islam with force. If we not raised voice for our province then in smaller provinces we will be divided in smaller portions and more victimized” said Nazir Bhatti
In Separate Christian Province Muslim will be also free to profess their religion according to constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Christians who will prefer to live with other Muslim provinces shall exercise same due rights.
“The Muslim leaders and Muslim political groups scratched name of Zial-Ul-Haq from constitution of Pakistan through 18th Amendment by not dared to repeal his Islamic laws like Blasphemy law, Hadood Ordinance and other Islamic laws implemented in Pakistan which clarifies that Muslim groups have no sympathy with 20 million Pakistani Christians” said Nazir Bhatti
