LARKANA: April 10, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Khaksar Tehreek Larkana Chapter on Friday staged a protest demonstration and token hunger strike against the national issues including loadshedding, price hike, lawlessness, police atrocities, unemployment, rising inflation, unabated terrorism in country out side the Press Club.
The Khaksar workers chanted slogans against rising prices of the commodities, to end load shedding, police atrocities, rising inflation, terrorism and other national issues in country.
Addressing on the occasion, Azm-e-Hyder Mughal Nazim Khaksar Tehreek Sindh, Salar Larkana city Pir Bux Abbasi alleged that the present government is not sincere to stop inflation and corruption in country, the rising inflation, lawlessness and police atrocities have been increased against the common men, besides, the government is failed to control the increasing price of commodities and other national issues in country.
They condemned the police attitude against citizens and said every nook and corner of Sindh police stations have been converted into a police state and torture cells, while the increasing prices in petroleum products and food items, now have been out of reach of common men they said. They said due to the present government polices poverty increasing day by day and people are sick off rulers. Khaksar leaders said that the government failed to protect the common men, control inflation and other social issues in country. They demanded to take efforts to release Dr. Afia Siddiqui from US custody and supported Dr. Qadir Khan issue.
On the occasion, Khaksar Pir Bux Abbasi, Shaman Shaikh, Kamran, Zakir, Sarmad and others took part in protest demonstration infront of Press Club.
Meanwhile, A large number of workers of Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam (JUI-F) in Larkana and other parts of Sindh observed protest demonstration against the target killing of Maulana Qari Abdul Hafeez and Maulan Qari Aijaz Ahmed in Karachi.
JUI peaceful rally was taken out from Jamia Darul Uloom Dodai road Larkana and marched from different thorugh fares and reached at Jinnah Bagh out side the Press Club after the Jumma prayers.
The rally was led by Maulan Nasir Mehmood Soomro and Muhabat Ali Khuhro on the occasion and they said that the present government has taken steps to control the target killings in Karachi, they demanded of the government to arrest the culprits immediately other wise the JUI will enlarge their protest in Sindh.
