Karachi: April 7, 2010. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have lauded statement of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) leader Mushahid Hussain to recognize positive role of Christians in Pakistan Movement. It is on record that leaders of All India Christian Association leaders voted for formation of Pakistan in Round Table Conferences in London by British Colonial rulers in 1930-32. It is also on record that Christian leaders SP Singha and Raliram representing All India Christian Association voted in favor of All India Muslim League before Boundary Commission to fall Punjab in lot of Pakistan. If Christian have not voted in Favor of Pakistan, then Punjab have never been on map of Pakistan. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that Muslim historian have omitted role of Christians in Pakistan Movement but statement of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) on eve of Easter is very encouraging. “I must submit to make record straight that SP Singha, President of All India Christian Association never demanded any ranch of agricultural land or high office from Mohammad Ali Jinnah, President of All India Muslim League on supporting Pakistan Movement but only “Separate Electorate” for Christians in Pakistan” said Nazir Bhatti Founder of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah as a President of All India Muslim League recognized SP Singha demand of ’Separate Electorate” in famous “14 Point Doctrine” of Pakistan Movement. After independence of Pakistan in 1947, when Mohammad Ali Jinnah met SP Singha in Lahore, he offered Mr. Singha ministry in government but Christian leader demanded “Give us in writing that Separate Electorate will be given to us in Pakistan” and Mohammad Ali Jinnah wrote an official note and sign it. Later, same letter was presented in lawsuit by Mrs. SP Singha in Supreme Court of Pakistan in 1956, when government of Pakistan abolished Separate Electorate for Christians. Mr. Joshua Fazaldin, former deputy speaker of Pakistan Assembly, wrote 70 pages letter to Secretary General of United Nation in 1971, and threaten mass migration of Christians to India when Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party stressed to abolish Separate Electorate. Nazir Bhatti said “Pakistan Muslim League owes us Separate Electorate if any faction of it claims to be true inheritance of All India Muslim League of Quid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Pakistan” Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pakistan Muslim League (Q), Pakistan Muslim League (F), Pakistan Muslim League (A) and other factions of Pakistan Muslim Leagues have NO “Separate Electorate” in their manifestos, so, how they can claim to be true inherit of All India Muslim League. “If Pakistan Muslim League (Q) recognizes ’Separate Electorate” for minorities in their manifesto or demands “Dual Voting” right for us instead of Joint Electorate, Pakistani Christians can consider supporting PML(Q) as ally securing social justice for poor Pakistani people” said Nazir Bhatti Joint Electorate was imposed on minorities in 2002 by General Parvez Musharraf on demand of some ill minded Christian leaders and tools of establishment.
