LARKANA: April 7, 2010. (PCP) Sindh Journalists Society (SJS) has widely condemned the registration of fake cases against journalists on the complaint of doctors in Lahore and manhandling of journalists community.
The President Sindh Journalists Society (SJS) Nazir Siyal in a letter and telephonic discussion to the Sarmad Bashir, the President Press Club Lahore has expressed solidarity with the media persons and sorrow over the fake cases by the Doctors, while police played role of a silent spectator, when media persons were being thrashed by doctors under a pre-planned conspiracy to put them under stress and to punish them for their factual and prompt coverage of events.
He said the Sindh Journalists, from all cities of Sindh are united to stand for the rights of Lahore Journalists and demanding for cancellation of fake and fabricated cases against journalists. He said the hidden hands of Panjab government for manhandling and double standards policy with media is very much clear.
He alleged that the Punjab government should immediately withdraw all fake cases against Journalists other wise the Journalists community will took to the protests all over Sindh
