LARKANA: April 6, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Complete shutter down strike was observed in Larknaa and other parts of Sindh against the arrest and Karachi police torture on the workers of Jeay Sindh here on Tuesday.
The strike was observed in different districts including Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Dadu, Mirokhan, Mehar, K. N Shah and other parts of Sindh.
All the petrol pumps, markets and main bazzars including Resham Gali, Shahi Bazar, Anaj Mandi, Royal Road, Station Road, Bunder Road, Pakistan Chowk, Lahori Muhalla, were remain closed and the people of business community expressed their solidarity with the victims of incident in Karachi.
The educational activities in Larkana and other parts were affected and the traffic on the roads was thin on the occasion.
On the occasion, large number of Police and Rangers were deployed at various chowke, Schools, sensitive places to maintain law and order situation and avert any untoward situation.
During the shutter down strike in Larkana and other parts of district including Ratodero, Naudero, Dokri, Badah, Bakrani and other cities were remain closed against the police atrocities.
Meanwhile, the large number of different Jeay Sindh activists Led by Athar Soomro, Muzafar Sandano, Aziz Shaikh and others held protest demo and burnt tyres to protest against the arrest of workers and police torture.
They also said the linguistic people were fomenting the hatred speeches and clash among the Karachities, as well disrupting the peace and harmony.
They demanded to arrest the culprits of linguistic organization workers and release their innocent people immediately.
