Karachi: April 4, 2010. (PCP) Sunrise Services of Easter eve were cancelled in most of the cities and towns of Pakistan after armed attacked on Chapel in Gordon College Rawalpindi on Good Friday prayers.
The 20 million Pakistani Christian celebrated Easter under fear in presence of tight security and no incident of attack on any congregation was reported for far to PCP.
The government of Pakistan focused to highlight Easter Prayers led by Bishop Malik of Church of Pakistan and adequate security was provided him in Lahore to arrange Sunrise services. Bishop Malik of Church of Pakistan is one who welcomed Sharia law in Pakistan in Jurist Conference during Nawaz Sharif Premiership
In Lahore, government also provided security to Catholic Church of Pakistan to hold Easter celebrations,.
In a massage, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC, Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, wished Happy Easter to Pakistani Christians and assured that PCC will keep on raising voice for their rights in Pakistan.
