LARKANA: March 29, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) The Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Dr. Shama Khalid has said on Monday that PPP lead government has provided a new identity to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and they are much glad over the historical decision of President Asif Ali Zardari. She expressed these notions, while talking to a group of media at Garhi Khuda Bux.
She further said that the present government has released funds for the development of Gilgit-Baltistan for welfare and betterment of masses, which would be utilized honestly for the prosperity of area she said.
She said those martyrs buried here had served their lives and sacrificed for true democracy in country. She said Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, despite of challenges of world over, always worked for the welfare of downtrodden people and served the masses without any discrimination by sacrificed their lives for sack of democracy in country.
Earlier, the Governor Dr. Shama Khalid accompanied by the Provincial Minister Agha Siraj Durani and PPP local leader Dr. Shafqat Soomro laid floral wreath on the Mazar of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Mir Murtaza Bhutto, Shahnawaz Bhutto and Shireen Amir Begum and offered Fateha on the occasion.
