March 27,2010 To: H.E Mr. Ahmad Nazif The Prime Minister Arab republic of Egypt Cairo Your Excellency, It is in this 21st century, when the all the nations are talking about World Peace and Religious Harmony etc. etc....., it is shocking to learn the horrendous act of your armed/police forces (Security Agents)martyring a Church building in the southern city of Luxor on March 18, 2010.What kind of security does this mean and is this the act of security agents of your country martyring a Church building (A Holy Place of Worship of the minorities Christians) and assaulting the Christian Priest Pastor Mahrous Karam his wife Sahba.Even you have not spared assaulting their three years old son with a threat to throw him in front of bulldozer and crush a minor child to death ? The entire world is deeply in a state of shock upon your criminal act by dragging Mrs.Sahba by her hair and handling her by her clothes by your men and slapping her. Is this the way in which your government is treating women in Egypt, especially minorities, when the entire world is talking about women rights ? Is this the Islamic laws and the way you treat women ??? May I appeal to you on behalf of all the peace loving people of the world to take an appropriate actions on the culprits who are responsible for the martyring of the Church's building and safeguarding the life of the minorities in Egypt including women. And that the Church's building must be re-constructed at the same location. May justice prevail !!! Thank you, Shelley Keith Benjamin Christian Rights Activist Kathmandu, Nepal
