Islamabad: Asif Ali Zardari has traditionally greeted Sikh pilgrims, Hindus and other minorities on the occasion of Christmas, Holi and now Baisakh
Bhopal, India : March 20, 2010. (PCP) Catholic Church Madhya Pradesh has constituted an Enquiry Committee to investigate the sexual abuse allegations levelled against the hostel in-charge John by a resident boy aged 11 in a Hostel run by MMB brothers in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh.
The church has made it clear that it is a serious allegation and we are concerned about it. The law must take its course. The enquiry will be held from two aspects. 1. The truthfulness of the allegation by meeting the complainant boy, his parents, other children of the hostel, and other people involved with the hostel.
The second aspect of enquiry is to ascertain the role of fundamental organizations in the entire issue. The boy, his parents had come with large number of media and leaders of fundamental organizations. The police who claim that the medical test of the boy is positive is doubtful in itself as the boy is on holiday for many days. From the beginning of issue a large number of people have been pressurizing the police and hostel administration and the Church functionaries.
It is also to be noted that in the past the fundamental organizations have made constant false allegations of religious conversions against the Church to damage its good image in the field of education, health and social development. They attributed conversion as a hidden agenda behind the service of missionaries. It is a question among many people whether these organizations are using such cheap tactics to target the Christian community in the state.
It has also been noticed that the lone reputed missionary school in Panna district head quarter is to begin its admission process very soon. Therefore, the timing of the allegation and persons involved in to flare up the whole issue is also to be investigated. There has always been false propaganda against the school for very long time.
