Lahore: March 16, 2010. (PCP) In telling his story a jail returned 28 years old (Rahmat Masih – A changed name) married Christian with one child of 2 years said that his infidelity touches his childhood when his parents sent him as a child servitude with an advance payment of Pak. Rs 5000 (US.$ 60). “I was twelve years old and was given Pak. Rs 500 (US. $ 6) per month for long hour service of 14 hours a day which included sexual abuse” he whispered. I had complained to my parents many times but instead of believing in me they always beat me in response for being “KAMCHOAR” and BEHANAY-BAZ” (Punjabi words for lazy and lame excuser) so I always get the feeling of being rejected and not believed in. In this parental neglecting my father had been coming after a month or two just to collect my salary and very often had not even seen me. On Christmas and Easter I had been having a two-day leave. My other elder three brothers had also been child servitudes. In that holidays we had never shared our hardship but rather had anger and physical fighting. My mother always had been asking us to kneel down and pray from our heavenly father to end our contempt and helplessness. I had been also been doing it but with a Hippocratic mind (just to show my mother and as per of my evidence of obedience to my brothers and sisters). After serving three years one day I stole Pak. Rs 117 from my master’s house and ran away. And thus at the age of about 15 years I faced the police trail and jail. I was very happy to when I felt the passion of my parents who struggled for my release but soon I came to know that that was another master who worked on my release and to whom I had to serve. My new master’s advance payment was Pak. Rs 15000 (US. $ 180) which included Pak. Rs 12000 (US. $ 144) as per of my release expenses. And it was my jail friend “USTAD KALI” who actually released me from the slavery of this master. KALI is a notorious thief but he instead of taking me along his move forwards to theft gave me a U turn to civilized life with his love and passion. He sent me to Phiqa (Mohammad Rafiq – a painter) where I learned house painting and furniture paintings. “As I had neither experienced the love and value of my earthy father nor my heavenly father so how can I build and enrich my relations with them” he said with a big sigh and started looking in the air. Now instead of commenting on his statement I would like to share with you the results of his statement and his relations with “KALI and PHIKA” brought him a “Social Boycott” not only from his parents and surroundings but even from his religious icons. Not only this a small group “Monks without Borders – Pakistan” is much criticized as per of supporting him with house double bed quilt, mattress and groceries along with getting him a contract of house painting. I admit the absurdness and infidelity of Rahmat Masih but in my opinion our Lord Jesus had broken the bonds of interweaved exclusion with passionate inclusion which the people like “Monks without Borders – Pakistan” are holding, carrying and taking forward!!!
