Geneva: March 14, 2010. (PCP) The Holland Chapter of Pakistan Christian Congress submitted an additional petition to UNHRC in continuation to petition filed by PCC President D. Nazir S Bhatti to award Refugee Status to Pakistani Christian with UN Secretary General offices in New York on February 25, 2009. In additional petition filed by PCC Holland Chapter President Mr. Parvez Iqbal, its urged that Pakistani Christians are victim of constitutional genocide in Pakistan and light of rising violence against them by radical Muslim elements PCC urges UN Human Right Commission Council to appoint special envoy to record victims in Pakistan. Here, PCP is presenting copy of letter for public and media. Honorable President, UN Human Right Commission, Geneva, Switzerland. Your Excellency, I, Parvez Iqbal, President, Pakistan Christian Congress Holland Chapter, in continuation of an appeal Petition submitted to UN Secretary General by the Mr. Nazir S. Bhatti, Chief of Pakistan Christian Congress (PCC) on February 25, 2009, to you good self and on behalf of Christians as second majority population of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, I would like to bring following very genuine points into your kind attention for your sympathetic consideration please:- Your Excellency, self made laws called "Blasphemy" are made and are implemented by the ex Governments of Pakistan are only to implement against innocent, poor and helpless Christian and minorities in Pakistan. Registering false and concocted cases again hundreds of Christians. Mainly target is youth aged Christians and still under these laws hundreds are sitting behind the bars lifting their eyes up waiting help and justice. Your Excellency, in a recent past meeting with the Pope Benedict XVI, President of Pakistan had promised and assured to removal of Blasphemy laws in Pakistan, but on his arrival back to Pakistan on a very common way he forgot what he promised and still the rules are implemented and judgments of life imprisonment and death sentence in several cases are announced against Christians. Which is un acceptable on any cost and are opposed globally by the Christians, NGOs and human right organizations, but with no results yet. Your Excellency, many other Provincial and Federal Government leaders time to time promised for repealing Blasphemy laws but those are only promises on media and files with no practical steps. Your Excellency, Muslim population is making use of this blasphemy laws very openly by targeting Christians populations in all cities, villages, and where ever they want by damaging their properties, churches, lives, honor, respect and everything they see in line. Incidents in Karachi, Gojra, Korian, Quetta, Faisalabad, are few which were captured by and shown by the Print and electronic media all over, but there are several more which are attacked under the nose of Police and forcedly hidden by the law enforcement agencies. Your Excellency, it comes most worse and anti human activities when Local police support activists and persecute Christians double handedly. And it increases more pains when Government of Pakistan views all scenes silently with no actions. Your Excellency, now about judiciary of Pakistan, After all forcibly done to Christian's irreparable loss, they loose their last hope too when judiciary of Pakistan despite doing and giving true justice, is supporting Muslim activists. There are dozens of examples, but I would like to mention only one considering your very valuable time, that murderer of minor Christian girl (Shazia Bashisr Masih) was allowed bail in a murder case registered under non bail able offences. Your Excellency. this is not only very open violation of laws in Pakistan but also very visible persecution activities against Christians in Pakistan. you Excellency, as I mentioned above considering your valuable time, I keep my petition short as detail petition filed by PCC chief referred above and I am sure is still under your consideration but I repeat our appeal here by incorporating from the petition of PCC Chief submitted on February 25, 2009 i.e. "PCC Appeal United Nations to appoint special envoy to visit Pakistan to verify persecution, victimization and genocide of Christians by hands of Muslims, Muslim militants and establishment by direct meeting with migrant Christians and victims of oppression, rape and torture instead of meeting with clergy and their umbrella civil society organizations or commissions which are continuously misleading international forums on directives of government. We also appeal your honor to award refugee status to families of victim of rape, blasphemy laws, wrongfully confined by administration, displaced Christians and Christians in general for settlement where they may enjoy peaceful life at liberty." your Excellency, in the end I express my deep thanks for your precious time. kind attention and our hopes are strong for your sympathetic consideration please.
