Sindh Ministers inaugurate Art and Science Exhibition

LARKANA: March 8, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Department Sindh Pir Mazhar-u-Haq along with Provincial Law Minister Mohammed Ayaz Soomro inaugurated Art and Science Exhibition at Government Girls Degree College and B. Ed, M. Ed classes at College of Education, while announced Muhtarma Shaheed Benzir Bhutto Elementary College/School Larkana regular classes here on Monday. Provincial Minister for Education and Literacy said that he has fulfilled the promise of Benazir Bhutto to re-open 15000 non functional and closed ghost schools in Sindh. He said the deteriorating condition education in Sindh Schools is a slap on our society, while there is much difference in education system and they were not producing such results as compared to the other provinces including Punjab, NWFP he said. He also observed corruption in the School Management Funds and declining situation of education and most of the teachers were not competent in their ranks, but they were politically recruited in past government or for drawing their salaries at home he said. He confirmed that 60 to 80 percent merit recruitment was made during the recruitment of teachers in Sindh and the teachers training with quality and skill development is the objective of this government, he said the lack of training of school teachers and due to the deteriorating condition of education, the present government has decided to impart quality of education with trainings and trends of new concepts and good education to the teachers. Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq said that the media and civil society should eye on the funds utilization and monitor schools activities all over Sindh and the Registration offices of private schools in Larkana and Sukkur will be opened very soon, while the scholarships by the SIDA will be offered those brilliant students who will secure 80 percent attendance in the schools of Sindh. He said for the development of quality education in Sindh the salaries and scale revised as per new education policy and in this regard the directions have been recieved by the President Asif Ali Zardari to promote education in Sindh districts he said. On the occasion, Law Minister Mohammed Ayaz Soomro said that the people should take step to the future and realize the experiences of past, he said political victimization discontinued the institutions like the classes of B. Ed and M. Ed were shifted to Sukkur and further started by the PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto. He said once the dream of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto once has been fulfilled and the male and female of Larkana will get their basic right of education from this institution regularly. He said the present PPP government has given more than 50 thousand jobs to the people of Sindh and the data has been computerized according to the talent, while due to the modern edge the workers is connected with their Ministers by SMS their pending matters resolved easily he said. DCO and Administrator Larkana Syed Hassan said the quality education for our future is a must to impart modern, technical and stardard education, in this way the Paksitan can develop with high quality education and institutional capacity in country. He said the opening of B. Ed and M. Ed classes is a first step towards the education and prosperity of country. On the occasion, EDO Education Syed Rasool Bux Shah, Bureu of Curriculium Abdul Latif Siddiqi, PPP Vice President Larkana district Khair Mohammed Shaikh, Principal Elementray College Abdul Rasool Chandio, Principal Government Girls College Shabroz Sandeelo and others were spoke on the occasion.
