LARKANA: March 5, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Federal Minister for Youth Affairs Shahid Hussain Bhutto has determined to establish “Youth Development Centers” for females to facilitate them in metropolitan cities regarding the accommodation and other healthy activities across the country, so far the ministry has provided 45000 jobs to the unemployed youth for the eradication of poverty, which is a positive development according to the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. Addressing the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Sports Talent Award in Larkana by Pakistan Sports Welfare Association, federal Minister said that the youth delinquency is a common in society and they were facing various social and economical issues, while there is no development role of youth due to the government policies and the state is responsible to resolve the youth generation issues and their employment. He said that there is need to facilitate youth in every sector and the opportunities should be given according to their criteria. Shahid Bhutto said the ministry has signed MoU for the trainings most of them are under pipeline/process, with various International agencies including UNFP, UNDP, ILO, World Bank and others for 30 youth development center establishment in country. He said the YDC projects at various cities including Gilgit, Peshawer, Quetta, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sukkur and other parts of country are suggested and most of the completed in country. Federal Minister said it was only 40 million budget, which now have been increased up to the four billion for country wide youth development sector, it reflects the expansion of his ministry and youth activities across the country. He said there are new windows of opportunities and facilities for gender balance, adding that two youth centers in each tehsil level will be completed, where the skills, trainings and different English coaching classes will be run for the youth development he said. He said the Sports and Youth seminar will be organized soon and the Prime Minister of Pakistan will expected to preside over the event at Karachi. He also announced that the committee of Pakistan Sports Welfare Association should give/select the names of talented youth awardees for joining youth delegation to China in May-June 2010. On the occasion, Patron Pakistan Sports Association MPA Haji Munwer Ali Abbasi said that the present government has provided sports facilities to the people of this area to groom their talent and the youth of the area start campaign from Larkana and prove in the national level sports activities. He said there are no opportunities for the small towns and cities to participate on Pakistan level sports activities, but the Larkana players should come forward to play and prove their efficiencies. He also emphasized to the Minister sports must take interests to the objective. He said he will take efforts to organize functions/sports activities thorugh out Sindh and in the name of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed sports activities will be continued.
