Islamabad: Asif Ali Zardari has traditionally greeted Sikh pilgrims, Hindus and other minorities on the occasion of Christmas, Holi and now Baisakh
Karachi: February 22, 2010. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned brutal killing of two Sikhs by Pakistani Taliban in FATA.
Nazir S Bhatti said government of Pakistan not paid due attention to rescue Sikh minority victims who were abducted 34 days ago and huge ransom was demanded by Taliban for their release.
The beheading to two innocent Sikhs is inhuman and un-Islamic when Islam claims peace and harmony towards religious communities.
The Muslims sects in Pakistan and Afghanistan are fighting for supremacy of their Fiqqa and adopting brutal means to kill Muslims of other sects while minorities are not players in this power game but still they are targeted.
If Islam teaches Muslims to behead an innocent person, or incites them to attack mosques and Churches then its warning bell for Islamic clerics to step forward and present true spirit of Islam.
Why Saudi Arabia is silent on teaching of Islam and to play his role being focal central land for Muslims around world?
The Sikh victims of brutality of Pakistani Taliban were living in FATA from centuries, speaking Pushtu and dressing like Pushtons then what have changed that Islamic taxation is imposed on them. Are Pushtons now Muslims then what were they for centuries?
Nazir S Bhatti said that monitory compensation for Sikh families is not solution but justice and security must be priority of government of Pakistan.
“PCC expresses grief and condolences with families of victims of Taliban brutality and demands government to ensure safety and security of minorities in Pakistan” said Nazir Bhatti
