LARKANA: February 5, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Kashmir Solidarity Day was celebrated in Larkana and other parts of Pakistan on Friday; the main function was arranged at Government Pilot Higher Secondary School Larkana, where the Leaders of Civil Society, Stakeholders, Scouts, NGOs and all walks of life participated in the function.
On the occasion, Larkana Chambers of Commerce and Industry President and PPP leader Khair Muhammad Shaikh said that the PPP government always remain alive with the Kashmiri people and appreciated the struggle of Kashmiri sacrifices against the occupation of Indian forces, they have been fighting since the long 63 years and struggle for the self determination.
He said they all are united and demanded from the United Nation for the independent state f Kashmir, he said 1.7 million Pakistani people are with Kashmiri brothers and determined for the self determination and independent state of Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion EDO Agriculture Tharoo Mal Dodani said that the independence is the right of Kashmiri people and we are supporting Kashmiri people, which are our legal and moral duty to support them, so that we will continue our help in their struggle.
On the occasion the several students of the Pilot Higher Secondary School Larkana Amad Hussain Larik, Sagheer, Wasim Ahmed presented national song, speeches and tabloos, while the students also spoke high regarding the independence of Kashmir.
The ceremony was largely attended by the DDO Revenue Ghulam Murtaza Shaikh, Amir Ali Abro, the representatives of NGOs, teachers, students and other civil society. Later the principal of the school Deedar Hussain Balouch welcomed the guests and participants as well as the reiterated his appreciation to the people of Kashmir for their struggle.
Meanwhile, the Police and Rangers beefed up all the security in Larkana on the Chehlum occasion here on Friday.
The police and Rangers deployed all sensitive places, chowkes and important places for the security in order to maintain the law and order situation.
The Districts police made strict security arrangements on the Chehlum day in Larkana, in this regard the special personnel and paramilitary forces were deployed at all mosques and Imam Bargahs, chowks to ensure the law and order during Chehlum.
