HYDERABAD: February 3, 2010. (Sameer Nazir for PCP) The District Coordination Officer (DCO) Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri has warned the officers of District Government Hyderabad to get their disputed electric bills reconciled with HESCO management by February 8, 2010 failing which disciplinary action would be taken to them. This he directed while presiding over meeting about reconciliation of disputed electric bills of different connections of distinct government at Shahbaz Hall, Shahbaz Building Hyderabad on Wednesday.
He said that due to apathy of officers concerned, practice of wrong billing and pileup of huge outstanding against government departments is being experience which has caused bad impact on the performances and deliveries of department concerned. He directed the officers of district government to be pro-active and pursue for reconciliation of their disputed electric bills and get their defective electric meters verified and replace in case of defectives as district government intends to have zero balance in account of electric charges.
The DCO Hyderabad also directed to the HESCO management not to issue bills with detection without taking officer concerned in confidence to avoid further unnecessary official correspondence. The DCO said that though considerable amount has been settled down through reconciliation of many disputed meters and hoped that remaining cases would be completed by February 8, 2010.
The DCO Hyderabad made it clear to the HESCO management that outstanding against the ex-Collectorate Building Hyderabad be charged from the law department since it took over its charge on October, 2004 but agreed that areas period to that period would be borne by the district government Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, The Director Animal Husbandry, Sindh @ Hyderabad Dr. Ghulam Sawar Shaikh said that his department on account of its best performances has received first Exhibition Latif Award 2010 which reflects the exemplary coordination and confidence in between breeders and organization.
In his press release issued here on Wednesday Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh said that his department likewise previous practice, organized Cattle Exhibition at annual urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai at Bhitshah not only to depict the performance of the department but also provide opportunities of latest information and awareness among the breeders and give incentives them.
He said that livestock sector has potential to meet out economic need of more than 80% rural population. He said that the breeders from District Matiari and all over Sindh participated and exhibited their animals in the exhibition at mela by which buffalo of Syed Amir Hyder Shah got fist position by delivering 19.1 liters milk while the buffalo of breeder Sanwan Burriro secured 2nd position by delivering 17.8 liter milk, while third position went to buffalo of Gul Bahar Buriro by giving milk 16.5 liters.
Similarly, the first and second prizes for having best cow received by Syed Ali Hyder Shah and Syed Amir Hyder Shah respectively, He said that considering the over all performance in holding cattle exhibition, stalls the first Latif Award was won by his department which was received by DG Animal Livestock Dr. Ghulam Mohammad Mahar.
