London: January 27, 2010. (PCP) What a shame for the guardian of “LAW MAKERS” who take oath to defend and respect its clauses. This is utterly depraved and unfair where the protector of justice violated the law by himself. This black sheep amongst the Lawyer’s community named “Advocate Muhammad Naeem” tortured and killed the young girl of 12-year age from the Christian community in Lahore. (1) However, everyone is stunned to see the character of lawyers in the court today, by showing their solidarity with him by blaming other stake holders for creating this situation. This is the height of favouritism from the lawyers to protect the CULPRIT and supported his act. Why they stopped media and the family members outside the court? Why they are raising slogans against the media and stopping them to reveal the truth? I believe we all have to stand against the dishonest people, who are trying to protect the black sheep. Where are the champions of independent judiciary? What goes wrong in this case? { 4 }It has disclosed by the Law Minister of Punjab Govt, Rana Sanaullah that police will be suspended from their jobs, if he founds they are responsible for the laxity in arresting the culprits. However, the evidence showed FIR was not registered against them due to their influence and friendship with the Police and elite class. This has further confirmed by the parliamentarians from all parties by criticising the attitude of the police, which, they said, registered an FIR 18 hours after the tragic incident. { 2 }. News report showed Lahore Police had arrested Advocate Chaudhry Naeem on Sunday after 2 days. I don’t know the reason why Chief Justice of Pakistan has not taken any action on this issue? Similarly the right wings lawyers are silent on this issue? Could we imagine they do not watch the televisions? I am sure, like me, the readers would not be agreed on this issue? We have experienced the judgements in the recent corruptions’ cases have taken on the journalist reports. Why the SHO of Deference Lahore has not register the case against Advocate Muhammad Naeem? Is he above the Law? Is suspension from the duty is enough punishment for the police? We have seen and disappointed, the Police Officers involved in the Gojra incidents suspended or transferred from the time being, but later they have elevated to the senior positions. What a shame? FIR was lodged by police after at least 18 hours. The delay helped the accused to escape along with his family. Autopsy was also not conducted till Saturday. I believe murder case must be registered against the people, helped him and his family to escape, as they are equally involved in the heinous crime. Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab has publicly announced, Police Station (Thana) culture should be changed and everyone will get justice without delay. We appreciate and value his commitment but the justice is far from the poor people, and we have seen the example of Shazia’s FIR. We appreciate the condemnations and personal visits from Mr. Nawaz Sharif - former Prime Minister, Minorities Ministers, Politicians, Human rights activists and civil Society. We are also thankful to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chief Minister Punjab for taking the quick actions, and ordered the judicial inquiry. We appreciate the financial assistance to the deprived family. Nevertheless , I would like to draw their attention that the compensation in not the solution until and unless Advocate Muhammad Naeem should be sent to jail and charged against the tortured and killing of Shazia 12-year girl. It seems difficult and impossible to expect justice from the judiciary where lawyers become shelter for “Advocate Muhammad Naeem” The attitude of the Lawyers in the court today exposed, they have decided to protect, safeguard and provide every assistance to their colleague “Advocate Muhammad Naeem” This does not matter for them whether he involves in the murder of Shazia, but this is a matter of ego and prestige for them.{ 3 }. This is the time for Government of Pakistan to take the stringent actions against everyone involved in violating the law? “No one is above the law”. No one could challenge the Government? I would salute to the media for highlighting this issue, despite the facts they are under threatened from the lawyers’ mafia. Yet they are fulfilling their duties with zeal and zest.
