Pakistan Christian Congress leaders demand “Justice not Money” for Christian victims of Islamic Violence

Toronto, Canada: January 24, 2010. (PCP) The leaders of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC International Wing have strongly condemned rape and killing of 12 years old girl Shazia Bashir in Lahore and urged government of Pakistan to ensure justice. The PCC leaders raised slogan “Justice not Money” for Christians in Pakistan because non of culprit is ever brought to justice in Pakistan because they belong to Muslim majority. Mr. George Murad, Chief Organizer of PCC International Wing, condemned killing of teenage girl and demanded arrest of culprit Mohammad Naeem Advocate. He expressed concern on incident of elite class of Pakistan in hate and inhuman crimes in Pakistan. Agness Massey, President of Pakistan Christian Chapter Canada, said “ It is a time to have an urgent public meeting and take initiative to condemn for the savageness and inhuman murder of a Christian servant of 12 yrs old innocent girl after cruel rap by a culprit lawyer” Mr. Pervaiz Iqbal, President of PCC Netherland Chapter termed killing of Shazia Bashir as escalation of violence and hate crime against Christians in Pakistan. Agness Massey said that there are hundreds of rape cases of Christian women go unreported in Pakistan on workplaces due to cultural values but reported cases also fail to ensure justice for poor Christians. She expressed condolences with bereaved family and vowed to fight for rights of victim women in Pakistan. Mr. George Murad, PCC Chief Organizer and responsible for International Wing, based in USA, have appealed to Pakistani Christian Diaspora to offer prayers in Sunday services for family of victim Shazia Bashir. PCC leaders, Watson Gill, Albert Kenneth and Joseph Patras have also condemned rape and killing of Shazia Bashir by Muslim attorney. Meanwhile, Mr. William Shahzad, Chairman of Pakistani Christian Association in America PCA have also condemned killing of Shazia Bashir.
