Islamists attack Baluch writers, activists and Pak peaceniks: Ahmar Mustikhan

Washington DC: January 14, 2010. (PCP) super-patriots, loyal to Pakistan military headquarters in Rawalpindi, have launched a virulent multi-pronged attack against Baluch writers and activists and even Pakistani peace-lovers who favor good relations with neighboring India. The attacks came on the eve of a historic peace conference in New Delhi that brings together leaders from different walks of life in India and Pakistan. India has a majority of Hindus, who generally speaking are more peace loving than Muslims, and Pakistani hawks have been capitalizing on this aspect of Indian society by repeatedly targeting India. Srinagar, Jan 9: A 3-day Pak-India peace conference “A Road Map Towards Peace” will commence on Sunday in New Delhi to map out a charter for peace in the region. The former Prime Minister, I K Gujral, will deliver the inaugural address at the conference aimed at putting pressure on the governments of India and Pakistan to pursue peace as an ideology and to commit themselves to development of both the countries. The opening day has been divided into two sessions – (a) A Road Map Towards Peace and (b) Peace and Security in South Asia. In the first session, former President, Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan, Aitzaz Ahsan; the President of People’s Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti, the former Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy, Admiral L Ramdas; and the former Union Minister, Mani Shankar Aiyar, will present papers. The session would be chaired by senior journalist, Seema Mustafa. Source: greaterkashmir.com The reason why Pakistan is nearing a failed state description is the insatiable appetite of the country's omnipotent and pro-jihad military for power and money. The joke goes that many countries have an army but Pakistan army owns the country. Pakistan military generals, mostly Punjabis and mohajirs, have a vested interest in animosity with India because they make their millions in kickbaks and commissions when buying arms against the neighboring giant. Target of the virulent attack includes Baluch journalist Malik Siraj Akbar, publisher of the online Baloch Hal. A politician and an activist who do not recognize the right of self-determination of nations -- leave alone independence -- Mir Hasil Bizenjo, vice president of the pro-federation National Party and Asma Jehangir, founder of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, have also not been spared. Bizenjo became suspect in Baluch eyes after befriending two former chiefs of the infamous Inter Services Intelligence, Gen. Hamid Gul and Brigadier Imtiaz Ahmed. Likewise, Jehangir, whose late father was an army officer and very close to military dictator General Ayub Khan, has in recent years emerged as an apologist for Pakistan's military occupation of Baluchistan. She has been requested by families of missing persons not to visit Baluchistan again after she asked Baluch to accept their plight and end their freedom struggle during her last tour of Quetta. The attacks on Bizenjo and Lahore-based Jehangir show the hawkish, obscurantist sections of the establishment are not willing to accept the doves in their ranks. Pakistan's ultra-liberal former information minister and feminist Sherry Rahman was also attacked. Rahman was forced to leave her post by the military for acknowledging Pakistan's hand in the terror attacks on Mumbai in November 2008. Sleazy sycophants close to President Asif Ali Zardari, who is known worldwide as Mr. Ten Percent, were joyous over her exit. The Daily Mail findings indicate that the overall Pakistanis, invited for the said RAW arranged seminar include former Information Minister (PPP) Ms. Sherry Rehman, former Law Minister (PPP) Iqbal Haider, Human Rights activists Aasma Jehangir, Baluchistani journalist Malik Siraj Akbar, Senator Hasil Khan Bazinjo, some Farooque Tarique of some Pakistan Labour Party, some economist Akbar Zaidi, defence analyst Ayesha Siddiqua, and women rights’ activists and theatre artist, Madeeha Gauhar, all known for having a very soft corner for India and having a very pro-India mindset. However the speakers for the main target and rather the nucleus of the seminar that would bee focusing on Baluchistan, the “selected” speakers from Pakistan include, Asma Jenagir, Malik Siraj Akbar and Senator Hasil Khan Bizenjo. While all the participants of the overall seminar from the Indian side are very well known for their staunch anti-Pakistan mindsets. Source: dailymailnews.com This scribe has also come under attack of the same group of people for working for Baluchistan's independence and expressing solidarity with the Pakistan Christian Congress leader Dr. Nazir Bhatti against the killings, persecution and slavery of the minority Christians in Pakistan. A ludicrous claim has been made that Christians are providing material support to the Baluchistan independence struggle. Where Nazir Bhatti so very boldly declared all his plans and ideas to the mass public, he also stated: “Christians support Baloch nation of their right of self-determination and demands of Seraki, Pushtoon and Hazara nations rights and expect their moral support for Separate Christian Province” Frankly speaking, that saying of Nazir Bhatti was actually a propaganda threat. Could the leader of the Christian Community of Pakistan be behind the support of all the so-called “liberation movements” that are ever-increasing among the Balochis and Saraikis? Allah Knows Best! Keep this fact in mind that Nazir Bhatti had also personally interviewed Mir Azaad Khan Baloch. To underline some of the ongoing propagandas on behalf of the Paksitan Christian Congress, kindly go through this “poem” written by the PCC to the Baloch leadership: A Salute to the Tiger of Balochistan. By Ahmar Mustikhan We Salute you Shaheed-i-Balochistan, Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti You paid back with your blood whatever debts you owed The Bhambore Hills is drenched in blood, silent, painted red The Baloch cubs miss the roar of the Tiger of Balochistan Source: deenalhaqcouncil.blogspot.com Some well-meaning Indians, like politician Mani Shankar Aiyer, think Pakistani soldiers would adopt a civilized attitude towards India, though Baluch nationalists are warning Indians not to live in a fool's paradise as they say Pakistan shielding Dawood Ebrahim is clear proof there will be more attacks on India. Three young but dynamic leaders form the face of the Baluch freedom movement -- national heroes Mir Hyrbyair Marri, Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti and Dr. Allah Nazar. Many in the diaspora believe these leaders, along with Khan of Kalat, Mir Suleman Daud, and former chief minister Sardar Akhtar Mengal will move forward to form a united front to end Pakistan's illegal occupation of Baluchistan.
