Karachi: December 28, 2009. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned suicide blast in Shia Muslim’s religious procession in Karachi, killing 40 and injuring hundreds.
“Ashura” is among religious rituals of Shia Muslims around globe, marking mourning on martyrdom of Hazrat Hassan and Hussian in Karbla.
Nazir S Bhatti, Chief of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC expressed condolences with families of martyred by suicide blast and termed it conspiracy to start sectarian violence in Pakistan to destabilize Pakistan.
The attacks on religious minorities were at peak in Pakistan in year 2009, when hundreds of homes of Christians were destroyed in Punjab province of Pakistan.
The Islamic militants burnt alive Christians and attacked worshipers during Christmas mocking security measure of government of Pakistan.
Nazir Bhatti said “Government must adopt fool proof security measures to avoid attacks on religious and sectarian communities in Pakistan”
PCC urged government of Pakistan to launch operation in all four provinces of Pakistan to arrest religious extremists and to recover illegal arms.
Taliban are present in every corner of Pakistan and government is turning blind eye which is resulting in suicide attacks on peaceful citizen in major cities.
The military operation in Waziristan and Swat was not well planned and gave way to Taliban militants back door to fled in other cities of Pakistan.
“It is time of unity among all political forces to face challenges of militancy in Pakistan and 20 million Pakistani Christians are standing with Muslim brothers to eliminate terror elements from society” said Nazir Bhatti
