Lahore: December 26, 2009. (PCP) CARVE – PAKISTAN is an interfaith group of Pakistan Christian Congress – Lahore Council. On Christmas evening they gathered to share their well wishes and togetherness with their Christian friends in Nishtar Town, Lahore. Mr. Mohammad Ikhalq and his Muslim friends organized the Christmas event including dinner. The Christians widows were the guest of honor in this event. In his key note words Mr. Ikhlaq said: When religions claim ultimate certainties; The clerics become the authorities and monopoly over; Truth, righteousness, morality, nobility; Humanity, divinity and God; And confer guilt and feeling of sinfulness; Teach their religion “the best”; Of their religiosity and the religion; When interfaith dialogues become; The preparation to prove oneself superior; With efforts to victories and wins; Then doors of mutuality and collaborations are locked; Even with physical togetherness; On meal table and dialogue; Let us raise our hands up; For mutual respect, acceptance and tolerance; In our differences and variations; On this Christmas evening; So to track ourselves; On the way forward to; Love and peace; The ultimate focus of our religions!!! In his words of thanks Mr. Inderias Dominic Bhatti said that CARVE wants to shape passionate heads and heart to create circles of respect and inclusions to all those people who are either isolated or feel themselves isolated so that on such occasions they may have a feeling of encircled with respect and important and thus instead of being pessimistic and rebellious can be optimistic about life and God. Mind this is the optimism that create the circles of Good to help and heal, he repeated. The restoration of the broken smiles on the faces of our honored guests is our small effort to fulfill our social and religious liabilities.
