LARKANA: December 24, 2009. (Nazir Siyal for PCP) The members of Sindh Journalists Society (SJS) has strongly condemned the suicide attack on the Peshawar Press Club by the terrorists. The members of SJS stated that the terrorists attack on Press Clubs and media persons would not bow down them by terrorist activities The SJS termed that the attacks on media has exposed the terrorist groups and proved that they are not true Muslims. “Islam is a religion of peace, tranquility, brotherhood, so that the attack on Press Club is a direct attack on the journalist community, those who were continue fair, and factual reporting in their way. The media persons in Sindh and other parts are being threatened by their vested interests and their objectives, in order to stop media persons from giving any news comments about their anti-people activities. The SJS has demanded the government to ensure security for media offices and journalists, which is the duty of government to ensure the safety of media workers and Press Clubs. Meanwhile, Peace rally led by Syed Abid Hussain General Secretary National Academy holding 10 kilo meter long peace banner, arrived at old power house here on Thursday. On the occasion, President Sindh Dharti social development organization Larkana Khalid Mehmood Soomro welcomed the peace rally, while talking to media men speakers said that peace campaign has been started to create awareness among the masses that we are peace loving people. They said that entire Nation is committed to up root terrorism and extremism not only in Pakistan but also in world in this connection peace banner campaign have been started across the country to give massage to glob that we are peaceful nation. On the occasion, Nisar Ahmed Shaikh, Zonal Chairman CBA Khalid Chandio, Mukhtiar Shaikh, Mumtaz Mangia and others were present. In Larkana today, Pakistan Peoples Party S.B organized a seminar on injustice in Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case her at Kannedy Market Larkana on Thursday. On the occasion, large number of people belonging different walk of life witnessed the seminar, speakers including PPP S.B leader Abdul Majeed Lahari, Altaf Malgani, Abdul Saleem Patojo, Barkat Mirani, leader Larkana Shahri Itehad Imdad Shaikh and others of various parties addressed in the seminar. They said that Bhutto Family has given sacrifices for the nation and country but they have not received justice, they said that decision of court regarding the murder case of Mir Murtaza Bhutto was based on injustice and unfair, which has protected the killers. They said that PPP S.B will challenge the decision in Supreme Court of Pakistan, PPP S.B leaders expressed hope that honorable court will provide justice in Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case.
