(PCP) Mr. Inderias Bhatti, President of Lahore PCC Council writes to Liberal Democrats in European Parliament, Canadian Liberal Members in House and Australian Democrats for support and better cooperation on issues of Christians in Pakistan: Mr. Inderias Bhatti writes, Your Highness, Peace and blessings from Pakistan Christian Congress Council, Lahore – Pakistan. It is one of the sub-offices of a Pakistani Christian political party “Pakistan Christian Congress” http://www.pakistanchristiancongress.org. While being appointed as its new president it will be my privilege if your highness and your passionate Liberal Party of Canada share your shoulders and stand to me in my new political liabilities. In a brief I want to map the Christians in Pakistan who face many challenges in Pakistan from poverty to deprivation where they confront exclusion, generational oppression, verbal and physical violence both at social and state levels. Added to this are the general attitudes of authorities, law enforcement agencies and even the justice institutions that give continuous defeatism to the Christians particularly and the minorities at large in Pakistan that either make them snubbed or silence with bitter anger within. The helpless people vent their anger on their family, dependents, co-fellows within their relatives and neighborhood. So division among Christians on the bases of various denominational identities, social status and other miscellaneous entitling have got the vacuumed anger which makes them politically weak specially while needing the neighborhood and community support in the issues of oppression and violence. Along with it the fear of the few supportive people who keep silence to stand and witness the violence with a fear of being involve in false cases or of the life risk threats of the oppressors. At this point I humbly seek your enriched knowledge, experience, dedication, passion, stand and shoulders which will surely enable our subjugated Christians for their equality, freedom, rights, justice, gain and growth. I am much sure of your concern and sympathies for a result oriented change for the people of Pakistan. May God continue to bless you with all the worldly and divine sanctions!!!
