LARKANA: November 19, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Consul General of USA in Pakistan Stephen Fekan along with Marry Elizbeth Economic Officer and Dawn M. Schrepel the Foreign Service Officer held meeting with the Officers of District administration at Circuit House Larkana here on Wednesday. During the meeting DCO Larkana Muhammad Jaffar Abbasi briefed the American diplomate on state of Social Development in the Education, Health, Agriculture and Infrastructure development in Larkana District. The Consul General Stephen took keen interest in the utilization of grant in the government land to landless Haris in Larkana district, the Consul General discussed about the Guava Research Station Larkana and enquired about the product of Guava Industrial Units. The Consul General informed EDOs of Larkana that he was very happy to visit Larkana which is part continued collaboration friendship of Pakistan-America regading the bilateral relations. He said his first visit of Larkana will boost up the relations betweeen and partnership collaboration of countries may ressolve the district issues pertaining to the economic development he said. The Karachi-American diplomat along with political and Economic Officers visited the Mazars of Shuhda of Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, they paid respect to the PPP martyr Chairperson Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. On the occasion Sindh Law Minister who is also the president of PPP District Larkana welcomed the American Diplomat coming in Larkana which is the land of PPP great leaders Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and the Minister presented the traditional Sindh Cap and Ajrak to the Consul General and the Ajraks to the Economic Officer and Political Officer of USA at Circuit House Larkana, the Consul General thanked the Sindh Law Minister and the prominent Citizens from every walk of life were presented and highlighted the bilateral relations. Sindh Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro hosted lunch in the honor of visiting American Diplomats at Circuit House Larkana. The lunch was attended by the members of District PPP Executive Committee District Larkana, the Advocates members of Chamber of Commerce of Industry Larkana and other prominent citizens and authorities. Meanwhile, Sindh Minister for Communication and works Manzoor Hussain Wasan on Wednesday visited the Mazar of Shaheed Rani Benazir Bhutto, Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Shaheed Shah Nawaz Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, he offered fateha on the Mazars of Shuhda and laid floral wreaths on the Mazars. Speaking on the occasion he said that the Government of Sindh was striving hard and to get more and more funds in the NFC Award for the development of the province, he said that the investigation UNO Commission in the murder case of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto has a right to call any person what so ever he is, he will be bound to appear before the commission and other wise the legal action will be taken against him. The Minister also said that in the present Assembly the role of opposition is in positive in this regard the problems of the people are being solved with out any discrimination, he said that the people rejected elements are trying to destabilize the present Democratic System will not be succeeded and the present Government will complete its tenure of five years which was given the mandate by the people of the country. He also said that some elements are conspiring against the present Government will not be succeeded. He also said that the recent meeting of Central Executive Committee of the party which was chaired by Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari in which the problems included NFC Award, Provincial autonomy and Waziristan operation and Law and Order situation were reviewed in detail, the Minister also presided over a meeting in connection with to review the progress of development works at the Mazar premises.
