Pakistan: November 13, 2009. (PCP) Catholic Bible Commission Pakistan (1958-2008), given a special Golden Jubilee award to a prolific Christian poet and religious song writer , Fr. Francis Tanveer, for spreading the Gospel through his religious poetry. A great Pakistani theologian, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Asi, who is also the key member of this Catholic Bible Commission, honored Rev. Francis Tanveer with this reward in the Theological Institute for Laity, in Sadho ke, on August 28, 2009. Fr. Asi said that Fr. Tanveer is most sung religious poet in Urdu, in the present time and age. Dr. Nazir s Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC and President of Pakistani Christian Association in North America PCA, congratulated Fr. Francis Tanveer and paid homage on his valuable services to humanity and Catholic Church by his poetry. Fr. Francis Tanveer is notable poet and writer from Pakistan now serving in USA. His religious poetry is widely appreciated in Pakistan and sang during services in Catholic Churches.
