Khaksar Tehreek protested against unabated inflation and poverty

LARKANA: November 6, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Khaksar Tehreek Larkana chapter on Friday observed protest demonstration against the unabated inflation, price hike, poverty, unemployment, lawlessness here out side the Larkana Press Club. The protest led by Sindh and Balochistan women leader Dr. Sabiha Arshad Mughal along with large number of Khaksar Workers and citizens chanted slogans against NRO and its supporters called for action against the looter of national wealth. Addressing the protesters, women leader Dr. Sabiha said that there will be no compromise on National policies and under the NRO, those who looted national exchequer, embezzled millions of dollars can not be exempted from the cases. She also criticized the present government on its poor policies that caused sky rocketing prices of daily used items. She said artificial crises of sugar and other commodities is a trick by the sitting politicians associated with business channels. KT women leader Dr. Sabiha demanded to provide security and relief to common men and redress national issues immediately. On the occasion, Khaksar Workers, Pir Bux Abbasi, Niaz Baloch, Shamsddin, Nasir, Ibrar and others were present. Meanwhile, Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) staged protest against non provision of six month salaries to the ad-hoc lecturers throughout Sindh. A large number of Commission pass ad-hoc lecturers led by the SPLA leaders including Zulfikar Ali Kolachi, Ali Raza Gaad, Muhammed Chuttal Bozdar, Manzoor Kalhoro, Qurban Mangi, Kaleemullah Abro, were holding play cards, banners inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands. The speakers of the protest said that education department had issued a notification of their regularization of their jobs, but the government is not issuing their salaries for six months they said.
